Compensated In-Process OD Grinding Gage
An operator friendly, temperature compensated gaging system for in-process OD
grinding. Combines Albion’s proven BenchMark
temperature compensated gaging amplifier with "swing down"
in-process gage arm. Comes with LVDT, configurable
temperature sensors that mount on the gaging arm, analog and digital display.
Gage more than diameters! This gaging system indicates run-out, chatter, and
eccentricity. In addition, it can easily be modified to check multiple
diameters, taper, interrupted diameters, widths between shoulders, widths over
shoulders and shoulder to shoulder.
Now you can grind directly to final size. BenchMark
will display size after eliminating growth caused by temperature. Dimensions are
displayed as if workpiece and gaging system were constantly at a controlled
68°F/20°C. There’s no need to control temperatures or wait for parts to
stabilize!
Detachable key pad is used for set up, programming and non-routine
operations. All controls for regular shop
floor use are mounted on BenchMark’s front panel.

LG-1 Gagehead sensor

Fits on gage head to sense local variations in temperature. Critical
and
often overlooked, gage heads are frequently very temperature sensitive.
Uses dedicated input channel on the DS-1 conditioning board
(Part # 860030). No additional board required.

Hand held programming unit

A separate portable programming unit used to program GageComp B. Built-in key pad and
digital 2x16 character LCD to display all temperature readings and compensated and
non-compensated displacements, is used to set up and diagnose the system.
Comes with connecting cable and communication software loaded.

Complete Temperature Compensation
system, including one each DS-1 and LG-1 sensor. Built-in user interface. User
programmable. Albions proprietary software computes and outputs net correction for

"Characterization" includes empirical determination of optimum correction
